 it’s like those moments when you go to the bathroom or you are in a store and you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, and for a split second you look at yourself and just realize how truly disgusting you are. you could spent five hours getting ready, or five minutes and look equally as terrible and you can’t stand to look in the mirror any longer because you don’t only see the obvious surface flaws, but you can see straight into your soul and see how absolutely terrible you are inside. all these emotions happen within a couple of seconds and that’s all you can think about for the rest of the day… how to avoid mirrors and how to not let everyone around you know how much you hate every single aspect of yourself. how you wish you could just unzip your skin and leave your body forever. how you would do anything to be someone different, to feel beautiful, even if it only lasts for five minutes.
